On how to make atomizing with atomization core —— Taking COTTONX as an example

On May 1, 2022, the Measures for the Administration of ECigarettes was officially implemented. E-cigarette is not only a tobacco product that is strictly regulated, but a product of cutting-edge technology in the era of highly developed economy.


It has attracted people’s attention with a global market for more than 108 billion USD scale, someone might be curious about how to make it and puff the smoke?

Actually, as earlier in 2016, The New England Journal of Medicine introduced the structure and principle of e-cigarettes in its October issue of the Health Effects of Electronic Cigarettes: e-cigarettes are mainly composed of three parts:

cigarette cartridge (containing e-liquid and mouthpiece), cigarette rod (containing battery) and the atomizer which is the most important structure among them, its core component, the atomization core, plays a key transformation role in process.

We should understand the “atomizing” firstly if we want to explore the mystery of atomization core, Atomizing is disperse liquid into tiny droplets or aerosols, which can be achieved by high temperature, high pressure or high-speed air flow.


Electronic atomizer takes the high temperature method to making the e-liquid into smoke, which is actually aerosol. Aerosol is suspended in the air and no longer maintaining the original liquid form of the e-liquid, but a mixture of solid and liquid.


A study has proved that the main products of e-cigarette is propylene glycol, glycerol and nicotine, the sum of the three content in 80 ℃, 150 ℃, 250 ℃, 300 ℃, 500 ℃ and 900 ℃ atomizing conditions accounted for 99.66%, 96.66%, 99.53%, 99.35%, 97.25% and 98.92% of the total,


which is basically no difference with the main components of the e-liquid. This means that the atomizing process basically does not occur chemical reactions, it seems to be smoking “smoke”, in fact, the inhalation is still atomized liquid, does not contain the cracking products produced by traditional cigarette combustion.

The workflow of e-cigarette can be briefly described as follows: user inhales → airflow sensor  senses airflow, turns on battery → activates atomizer → the atomizer heats e-liquid, reaches boiling point, and atomizes it into “vapor”.

· E-liquid enters from the liquid guide hole in all directions at 360 degrees, and is evenly soaked with oil guide cotton sheets woven by long-staple cotton;

· High-precision heating wire imported from Sweden is inserted into the cotton piece and heats up within 0.01 seconds after being connected to the power supply.

· Sufficient e-liquidin cotton piece is heated rapidly and volatilized at high temperature to form smoke;

· The smoke is inhaled by the product through the air outlet, bringing fine, pure and highly reducible atomized molecules to users;

· When the temperature exceeds 260 degrees, the heating element automatically outputs a signal to the power supply then cut it off to avoid burning the core.
